Nathan brings over 15 years of business and legal experience in the oil and gas industry, where he has advised private, equity/institutional-backed, and Fortune 500 oil and gas companies throughout all phases of formation, capital and asset acquisition, drilling and development programs, and eventual divestiture, acquisition, or merger. Most recently, he served as Chief Legal Officer of a private oil and gas company where he monitored and advised on the deployment of over $200MM in investor capital and led the land department in the acquisition of over 80,000 acres in the Permian Basin while significantly reducing corporate legal expenses.
Nathan obtained his BBA from Baylor University, where he double-majored in Economics and International Business and graduated as an Honors Scholar with Distinction, and his JD from St. Mary’s University, where he was a member of Phi Delta Phi. He is currently 1 of 383 Board Certified Oil, Gas & Mineral Law attorneys in the State of Texas and has been Board Certified since 2015. Nathan is an avid traveler and has traveled to 6 continents and over 45 countries. Nathan enjoys cooking at home with his wife, Miranda, finding the newest tasting menu around town, tending to his backyard chickens, and his newest hobby, scuba diving. Nathan and his wife also love spending time with their son, Jonas (2).
